STEPHEN THOMAS. GRANVILLE, WASHINGTON COUNTY, NEW YORK.
Stephen Thomas, 81, died Satrurday morning at the home of his sister, Mrs. Hannah Evans, 5 Lincoln Street, after a month's illness.He was born in North Wales and had lived in Granville for 60 years. He was a faithful member and a deacon of the Congregational church.
Survivors beside the sister mentioned are his daughter, Mrs. Mary E. Roberts, and three grandchildren in Wales; also several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the home of his sister with the Rev. J. Duke King, pastor of the Congregational church, officiating.
Bearers were Harry K. Williams, Llewelyn Jones, Owen D. Roberts, Willis Curtis, Ab Roberts and Nelson Jenkins. The body was placed in the vault in Mettowee cemetery pending internment in the Spring.
