Evan E. Humphreys, 73, died Thursday morning, March 3rd, at the Smith Boarding Home in North Granville.He is survived by an adopted daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth H. Campbell; a brother, Humphrey Humphreys of Arizona and a sister, Ann of Virginia.
The body was removed to the Stevens and Price Funeral Home in Granville, where services were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday by the Rev. R. Lewis Jones, pastor of the Presbyterian church.
The bearers were John John Rowlands, Richard Pritchard, John R. Jones and William E. Roberts. Internment was in the Mettowee cemetery.
