MR. JOHN JONES OWEN, WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE, PENNSYLVANIA.
John Jones Owen, native of Wales, who made an outstanding record as a leader of male choruses in this region, was buried today. Services at his home, 247 Parrish street, city, and in the Second Welsh Presbyterian Church, were conducted by Rev. Norman Robinson, pastor, and Rev. Llewellyn Williams, pastor of First Welsh Presbyterian Church.Burial was in Mount Greenwood cemetery where the two clergymen conducted committal rites at the grave.
At the church, the congregation sang two Welsh hymns, with Mrs. George Wesley and Mrs. Kenneth Thomas as organists.
Honorary pallbearers were Edward Belton, David Lewis, Hugh Williams, Charles Huron and Owen Jones.
Pallbearers were : Thomas Hughes, William Anwyl, Daniel Thomas, Paul Porter, Thomas Roberts and John Thomas.

Prof. John Jones Owen, leader of Orpheus Male Chorus for the past 17 years and known throughout the East as a musician, died at his home, 247 Parrish street, Wilkes-Barre.Mr. Owen, who was also leader of the choir at Dana Street Evangelical church, returned home from General Hospital on Sunday, where he had been receiving treatment for 10 days for a heart ailment.
