WILLIAM G. ROBERTS. MIDDLE GRANVILLE, WASHINGTON, NEW YORK.

William G. Roberts, 14 Potter avenue, died at 2:30 Wednesday morning at the age of 70, after a four months' illness.

He is survived by his wife, Jennie Roberts; two daughters, Mable Purdy of New Rochelle and Ellen Shirley of Burlington, recently of Granville; one sister, Mrs. Martha Jones of Festiniog, Wales; tvhree grandchildren, David Purdy and Robert and Barbara Shirey; three nieces, Mrs. Helen Dowd of Brooklyn; Mrs. Gwen Winterton and Miss Martha Davies of Rome, New York; two nephews, Charles and Richard Davies of Rome.

Funeral services will be held at the home on Potter avenue, Saturday at 2 p.m. with Rev. R. Lewis Jones officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery, Middle Granville.

The funeral of William G. Roberts was held from his late home on Potter avenue, Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. R. Lewis Jones officiating. Richard Tudor Roberts sang a beautiful solo.

The bearers were : Hugh P. Roberts of Remsen, John G. Williams of Utica, John R. Jones, William R. Owens, Richard Pritchard and John Jones. The floral pieces were beautiful.

Burial was at Elmwood cemetery, Middle Granville and as part of the burial service a group sang 'Bydd Myrdd o Ryfeddodau.'

Those attending from out of town were : Robert E. Williams, Miss Vivian Williams, Mrs. Earl Aldwich, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Williams, and Mr. and Mrs. John G. Williams of Utica; Mr. and Mrs. Hugh P. Roberts of Remsen, Mrs. Annie Davies, and daughter, Martha, and sons, Charles and Richard, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Roberts and daughter Margaret, of Rome; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Purdy and son, David, of New Rochelle; and Mr. and Mrs. Sam Shirey and daughter, Barbara, and son, Robert of Burlington.
