GRIFFITH H. PARRY. POULTNEY, GRANVILLE, WASHINGTON COUNTY, NEW YORK.

Griffith H. Parry, 67, died July 3rd, at his home, 23 Elm Street, after a long illness. Mr. Parry was a slate maker by trade but for the past four years had been employed on the county roads. Since 1940 he had been a trustee and treasurer on the Peniel Presbyterian church, also had held critical positions with the Foresters and slate makers union.

Survivors are his wife; one daughter, Miss Elizabeth Parry of New York city; four sons, Emlyn of Teaneck, New Jersey, Rev. Hugh Vaughn of Yonkers, Idwal of Schenectady, and Henry of Grand Rapids, Michigan; a brother, John Williams of Albany.

Funeral services were held July 6th at 2:30 p.m. in the Presbyterian church, Rev. R. Lewis Jones of Ballston Spa., and a former pastor of Peniel Presbyterian officiating. Burial was in Mettowee cemetery.

The bearers were Will E. Roberts, Tom Pickering, William G. Williams, Garfield Davies, Hugh Morgan Evans and Tom Stanley Edwards.
