John Pritchard, 82, Town Clerk of pawlet, Dies.

John Robert Pritchard, 82, town clerk of Pawlet for the past 12 years, died at 5:30 a.m. today in the Cambridge, New York, Hospital, following an operation yesterday.

He was born in Bethesda, Wales, May 17th, 1865, the son of Hugh and Grace (Jones) Pritchard.

At the age of four he came with his parents to this country and lived for a short time in Granville, New York.

For the past 60 years he had lived in the town of Pawlet.

He married Grace Hylett, daughter of George and Fannie Hulett of Pawlet, who survives.

Other survivors are a son, John Robert Pritchard, Jr. of Fanwood, New Jersey; a grand daughter, Barbara Pritchard; and a cousin, Mrs. Margaret Parry of Poultney, who is his only other relative in this country.

A daughter, Edith, died 13 years ago at the age of 26.

The bodyis at the Stevens and Price Funeral Home in Granville, New York, where friends may call Wednesday night and Thursday afternoon and night.

The funeral will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Federated Church in Pawlet, with the Rev. Victor Wachs, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in the Mettowee Valley Cemetery in Granville, New York.
