JOHN JONES THOMAS. POULTNEY, RUTLAND COUNTY, VERMONT.

The death of John Jones Thomas, a lifelong resident of Poultney and former town hall janitor occurred Wednesday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Larry McLean of Seekonk, Massechusetts, where he had been visiting.

Besides Mrs. McLean, he is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Hugh Pritchard of Poultney, with whom he made his home; one son, John Thomas of South Poultney and grandchildren, two brothers Owen and Hugh Thomas of Granville and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Williams of Elizabeth, New Jersey and Mrs. Ellen Jones of Middle Granville.

Funeral services were held on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Welsh Presbyterian church, Rev. Lemuel Jones officiating. Bearers were Robert R. Jones, Levi Davies, Hugh D. Hughes Francis Williams and John Williams, all of Poultney. Burial was in Hillside cemetery.
