JOHN PARRY OWENS. WEST PAWLET, RUTLAND COUNTY, VERMONT.
John Parry Owens, 81, died Sunday at his home in West Pawlet.He was born in Harlech, North Wales and came to America 60 years ago, settling in West Pawlet where he worked as a slatemaker in the quarries.
He was a member of the True ivorites and thw Odd Fellows.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; a half sister, Mrs. Kate Jones, Festiniog, North Wales and a half brother, David Richards, Rome.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the home by the Rev. John D. Owens of Fair Haven, and the Rev. R. D. Gerde of West Pawlet.
Internment was in Mountain View Cemetery, West Pawlet.
