LLEWELYN JOHN HUGHES. ROCHESTER, MONROE COUNTY, NEW YORK.

Llewellyn John Hughes, 51, son of Mrs. Ruth Hughes of Granville and the late Robert Hughes, died at his home in Rochester, April 11th, of a fatal heart attack. Surviving are his wife Mrs. Sylvia Stockwell Hughes; his mother, Mrs. Ruth Hughes; a son, Robert of Akron, Ohio; four sisters, Mrs. A. G. Currier of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, Mrs. W. L. Benson of Buffalo, Mrs. Jennie Dudding and Mrs. Harry Thomas of Ilion; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Hughes came to Granville from Wales, with his parents as a very young child. He spent his childhood here, later going to Rochester where he was employed by the Bausch and Lomb Optical Company for the past 16 years. He was a member of the Rochester Lodge of Elks.

The funeral held Saturday, April 14th, was largely attended by friends and neighbors, who will greatly miss his cheery greetings and friendly smile. The beautiful floral offerings, and the many acts of kindness shown to the bereaved family gave testimonial of the high regards in which the deceased was held. The funeral was held at the L. W. Maier's Funeral Home, Clinton Avenue. The internment was in Riverside Cemetery.
