Hugh J. Thomas, 76, of Allen Avenue, died suddenly Tuesday afternoon at his home.Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Jennie Thomas; two daughters, Mrs. Richard W. Jones of Granville and Mrs. Richard Williams of Chester, Pennsylvania; a brother, Owen Thomas of Granville; two sisters, Mrs Mary Williams of Elizabeth, New Jersey, and Mrs. William B. Jones of Middle Granville; also several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Granville Presbyterian Church, Rev. R. Lewis Jones of Balston Spa will officiate.
Internment will be in Mettowee Valley Cemetery. Friends may call at the home Thursday and Friday evenings.

The funeral of Hugh J. Thomas, who was a resident of Granville for 54 years, was held Saturday, June 30th, at the Presbyterian Church. The Rev. B. Lewis Jones of Balston Spa officiated.Burial was in Mattowee Valley Cemetery.
The bearers were John Closs, Clarence Palmer, Morris Davis, T. S. Edwards, Mose Roberts and Robert Burke.
Many relatives and friends from Crown Point and surrounding towns attended the funeral.
