GRIFFITH JONES. UTICA, ONEIDA COUNTY, NEW YORK.

Griffith Jones, 91, 1228 Brinkerhoff, died April 17th 1952 at his home after a long illness.

Born in Dyffryn, Merioneth, North Wales, September 20th, 1860, he was a son of the late John and Mary Jones. He married Ellen Davies 66 years ago. Mr. Jones was employed as head gardener on a large estate in Dyffryn for 32 years.

In 1910 the couple came to this country and Utica where he had since resided. He was employed here by the Richardson and Boynton Foundry for 15 years, until his retirement 22 years ago. Mr. Jones was a member of Moriah Presbyterian Church.

Besides his wife, he leaves three daughters, Mrs. Henry Labelle, Washington Mills; Mrs. Jeanette Miller and Mrs. Betty Davies, both of Utica; four sons, Robert R. Jones, Hugh Jones and William Jones, all of Utica, and John D. Jones, South Pasadena, California; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday from the Surridge and Roberts Funeral Home, 144 eagle, with the Rev. R. Glynn Lloyd of Moriah Presbyterian Church officiating. Internment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
