Mrs. Sarah E. Humphreys, 78, a former resident of Granville, died Monday, at her home in Tonawanda.Survivors are four sons, William of Comstock, Stanley and Bliss of Granville and Evan of Newport; two daughters, Mrs. William Atwood of Tonawanda and Mrs. Edith Becker of Kenmore.
Funeral services will be conducted from the McHenry and Roberts Funeral Home today, Thursday, at 2 p.m. with Rev. R. W. Evans officiating.
Internment will be in Mettowee Valley Cemetery.

Mrs. Sarah Ellen Humphreys, wife of the late Thomas R., died suddenly at her home at 72 Franklin Street, Tonawanda, New York, on Minday, May 4th at 2 a.m.She was born in Blaenau Festiniog, North Wales, November 13th, 1873, the daughter of William and Ellen Jones.
She was a former resident of Granville for many years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Tonawanda and Empress Rebekah Lodge 116.
Two daughters, Mrs. William Atwood of Tonawanda, and Mrs. Edward H. Becker of Kenmore, New York; four sons, William J. of Comstock, Cliss C. and Stanley L. of Tonawanda and Evan T. of Newport, Rhose Island; one brother, Evan Jones of Blissville, Vermont; eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews survive.
Services were held in Tonawanda, May 5th, Rev. Howard Davies officiating. Rebekah Memorial services followed. The body was brought to the McHenry and Roberts Funeral home where services were held on May 7th. The Rev. R. W. Evans officiated.Solos were beautifully rendered by Richard Roberts, accompanied by Wesley Hughes at the organ.
Internment was in Mettowee Cemetery. Bearers were William E. Roberts, William Thomas, Arthur Bruce, John W. Evans, Milford Sheldon and William G. Williams. There were many beautiful floral pieces in both Tonawanda and Granville.
