JOHN R. JONES. GRANVILLE, WASHINGTON COUNTY, NEW YORK.

John R. Jones (Tynypistyll) 80, died Saturday morning at his home on Williams Street, after a long illness. He was born in Tanygrisiau, Blaenau Festiniog, North Wales, a son of Robert and Elizabeth Jones. He came to Granville in 1909 and then went to Utica. In 1937 he returned to reside in Granville.

He was a member of the Granville Presbyterian Church and sang for many years in the choir.

Survivors include his wife, Alice; two sisters, Miss Jane Jones of Ilion and Mrs. Jones of Llandudno, North Wales; several nieces and nephews.

A prayer service was conducted at the home at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, followed by funeral services at the Presbyterian Church at 2 p.m. Rev. R. W. Evans officiated.

Internment was in Mettowee Cemetery. Bearers were Roy Race, Owen Thomas, Mose Roberts, Harry G. Williams, Harry K. Williams and William M. Owens.
