RICHARD E. JONES. POULTNEY, RUTLAND COUNTY, VERMONT.
Richard E. Jones, 45, died Tuesday, July 7th, in the Rutland Hospital after a long illness.He was born in Groeslon, North Wales, May 1st, 1906, son of John and Margaret Jones. He came to this country in 1929. Mr. Jones had been an active worker in the Poultney Methodist Church and Boy Scouts. He had been superintendent of the Methodist Sunday School and held several offices in the Methodist Men's Club.
He is survived by his wife, Edith Flack Jones; two children, Wayne and Doris; two brothers, R. T. Jones of Wales and Vaughn Jones of Utica, two sisters, Mrs. E. W. Roberts of Menai Bridge, North Wales and Mrs. J. R. Williams of Bersham, North Wales.
Funeral services were held the Thursday following his death at 2:30 p.m. in the Poultney Methodist Church. Rev. Emil C. Beck officiated.
Bearers were Arthur C. Oulton, J. Malcolme Williams, Gayford Fish, Cassius B. Moore, Robert Scott and Samuel Buxton. Burial was in Poultney Cemetery.
