Rites for Ellis William Rowlands, 83, of Poultney, who died yesterday in Proctor Hospital, will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Roberts Funeral Home here.Friends may call tomorrow 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Mr. Rowlands was born in Gerlan, Bethesda, North Wales, the son of Rowland William and Margaret (Roberts) Rowlands.
Surviving are a brother, John William Rowlands of Bangor, North Wales; a sister, Mrs. Catherine G. Hughes of Rutland; four daughters, Mrs. Richard J. Jones of Poultney, Mrs. Maude Lopez of Poughkeepsie, New York, Mrs. Joseph J. Renner of Yonkers, New York, and Mrs. Evan Humphrey of Humphrey of Rutland; 13 grandchildren and four grandchildren.

Mr. Rowlands was born in Gerlan, Bethesda, North Wales, the son of Rowland William and Margaret Roberts Rowlands.Surviving are four daughters; Mrs. Richard J. Jones of Poultney, Mrs. Maude Lopez of Poughkeepsie, Mrs. Joseph Renner of Yonkers and Mrs. Evan Humphrey of Rutland; one brother, John W. of Bangor, North Wales; one sister, Mrs Catherine Hughes of Rutland; 13 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday from the Roberts Funeral Home, Poultney.
