ROBERT O. THOMAS. POULTNEY, RUTLAND COUNTY, VERMONT.
Robert Owen Thomas, 73, of Poultney died Friday morning at his home after a lingering illness.Mr. Thomas was born February 26th, 1884, in Talysarn, North Wales, the son of Ann and Owen Thomas. He came to the United States 49 years ago.
He is survived by his wife, the former Jane E. Parry; two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Thomas of Middle Granville and Mrs Dilys Morris of Poultney; a son, Henry of Poultney; nine grandchildren; two sisters in Wales and nieces and nephews.
Mr. Thomas was sexton of the Poultney Presbyterian church and sexton of the Poultney cemetery for many years.
Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. from his home by Rev. John D. Owen of Fair Haven. Burial was in Poultney Cemetery.
