CATHERINE (KATE) WILLIAMS WILLIAMS. LINWOOD, DELAWARE COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA.
KATE WILLIAMS, a native of Wales who had lived in Marcus Hook 42 years, died yesterday at her home, 22 Chesnut Street, Marcus Hook. She was 84.Born in Blaenau Festiniog, North Wales, she was educated in public schools there and 69 years ago was married to William Richard Williams there. She and her husband came to the United States settling first in Poultney, Vermont.
She is survived by four sons, William Williams of Grandville, New York, Francis of Marcus Hook, Meiric of Linwood and Elwyn of Marcu Hook; two daughters, Mrs. William Loynes of the Chesnut Street address; Mrs. Dorothy Sculley of Linwood, 15 grandchildren and 14 great geandchildren.
Mr. Williams died two years ago, and one of their daughters, Mrs. Venice Beauchamp died within the last year.
Mrs. Williams attended the Welsh Church in Philadelphia.
Rev. Charles Montgomery, pastor of Linwood Methodist Church, will officiate at the funeral 10 a.m. Saturday at the Robert Moreland funeral home, 9th and Main Streets, Trainer. Friends may call Friday evening. Burial will be in lawn Croft Cemetery.
