ROBERT ROBERTS JONES CLINTON, ONEIDA COUNTY, NEW YORK.
Robert R. Jones, 71, of 123 James Street, native of North Wales, and resident of Utica for the past 50 years, died yesterday in Faxton Hospital after a brief illness.He was born April 10th, 1888, in Dyffryn, Merioneth, son of Griffith and Ellen Davies Jones. He came to Utica in 1910.
In 1916, he married Elizabeth Evans in Utica. He had been a caretaker for several Utica homes until his retirement a few years ago. He was a member of Moriah Presbyterian Church. He was also a member of Goronwy Lodge 37, Order of True Ivorites.
Besides his wife he leaves three sisters, Mrs. Mary Labelle, Mrs. Jeanette Miller and Mrs. Betty Davies, all of Utica; two brothers, Hugh of Oneida and William of Utica, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 2 Friday from Surridge and Roberts Memorial Chapel, 146 Eagle Street, with Rev. R. Glynne Lloyd, Ph. D. pastor of Moriah Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Memorial Park.
