WILLIAM J. PRITCHARD. BOONVILLE, ONEIDA COUNTY, NEW YORK.

William J. Pritchard Sr., 110 Ann Street, died Friday, September 8th, at his home after a long illness.

He was born at Penygroes, Caernarvonshire, Wales on January 2nd, 1886, the son of John and Laura Jones Pritchard. He came to the United States on March 28th, 1904. He settled first in Utica, where he was employed at the State Hospital. He had lived for a time at Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. In 1912, he came to Remsen, where he was employed by the C. Ray Harvey Feed and Coal Company until 1922 when he came to Boonville.

He was united in marriage with Cora Ingersoll on August 1st, 1912 in Utica, by the Reverend Russell Brown Sr.

Pritchard had been employed by C. Ray Harvey Ford Garage and later by the C. Hughes Motors in Boonville as a salesman. He had served the town of Boonville as Justice of the Peace for 16 years and the Village of Boonville as Police Justice for 12 years. He had been a Republican Committeeman from the town of Boonville and had served on the Board of Equalization for many years. He was a member of the Boonville Methodist Church, Boonville Lodge No. 165 F and A.M., Forestsport I.O.O.F. Lodge and Salnia Chapter, O.E.S. of Boonville.

He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Catherine) Kirche, Jr., of Paul Smith's, Mrs. Francis (Mary) Lewis of Lima, New York; two sons William J. Pritchard of Boonville; Maldwyn Pritchard of Chesterland, Ohio; 12 grandchildren and one great grand daughter.

Funeral services were held on Monday, September 11th a 2 p.m. at the Trainor Funeral Home. Reverend Alton A. Parker, pastor of the Boonville Methodist Church officiated. Internment was made in the Fairchild Cemetery Remsen. The bearers were : Frad Smith, Waldron Williams, Henry Sattler and Clem Hughes.

Forestport Odd fellow's Lodge conducted their ritualistic service at 8 Sunday evening. The Boonville Lodge No. 165, F and A.M. attended the funeral in a body and conducted the Masonic services at the grave.
