MR. DAVID JONES. UTICA, ONEIDA COUNTY, NEW YORK.
David Jones, 75, Ex-Bank Worker, of 132 Boyce Avenue, an employee of the Marine Midland Trust Company of the Mohawk Valley for 48 years, died yesterday in St. Luke's Memorial Hospital Center.He was born in Dolwyddelen, North Wales and came to Utica in 1907. He married Gwen Rowlands in 1913, in Utica. He retired from the Marine Midland Bank in 1957.
He was a member and treasurer of Moriah Presbyterian Church. Mr. Jones was a former member of the Board of Trustees and former choir director.
Beside his wife, he leaves two daughters, Mrs. Stewart H. Williams, Utica, and Mrs. Edwin C. Hoffman, Larchmont; an adopted son, Claude T. Rowlands, Poughkeepsie; a sister, Mrs. Sarah E. Thomas, Utica, and two brothers, Richard E. Jones, Syracuse, and Peter Jones, Cooperstown.
The funeral will be at 2 Monday from Moriah Presbyterian Church with the Rev. R. Glynne Lloyd, Ph.D., pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Crown Hill Memorial Park.
Calling hours at the Williams Funeral Home, are from 7-9 tomorrow night and from 2-4 and 7-9 Sunday.
