MRS. GWEN ELLEN ROWLANDS JONES. CLINTON, ONEIDA COUNTY, NEW YORK.
Mrs. Gwen Jones, 80 , of 1514 Genesee Street, widow of David Jones, died yesterday in St. Luke's Memorial Hospital Center.She was born in Blaenau-Festiniog, North Wales, the daughter of Robert and Barbara Richards Rowlands. She came to Utica in 1910.
She was married to Mr. Jones in 1913. He died in 1962.
Mrs. Jones was a member of Moriah Presbyterian Church, its Willing Workers Society, Women's Missionary Society, the church choir and had been the choir mother for many years.
She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Stewart H. (Hilda) Williams, Utica, Mrs. Edwin C. (Gwladys) Hoffman, Larchmont, New York and a nephew Claude T. Rowlands, Poughkeepsie, two brothers, Richard and William Rowlands, Wales.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday from Moriah Presbyterian Church with the Rev R. Glynne Lloyd, pastor officiating.
Burial will be in Crown Hill Memorial Park.
