MRS. ELIZABETH ELLEN HUMPHREYS JONES. PROSPECT, ONEIDA COUNTY, NEW YORK.
Mrs. Elizabeth E. Jones, of Jones Road, died yesterday in St. Elizabeth Hospital.She was born in North Wales, British Isles. She was married to Owen Jones in Wales in 1909. He died in 1946.
She and her husband came to Utica in 1920. She was employed here by the International Heating Company. In 1923 she moved to Remsen where they owned and operated a dairy farm.
After her husbands death she continued to operate the farm alone until her retirement in 1960.
She was a member of Stone Presbyterian Church and its Ladies Auxiliary.
She leaves a son, Owen J. Jr., three daughters, Miss Elizabeth Jones, Mrs. Robert E. (Catherine) Roberts and Mrs. Burton (Margaret Ann) Jones, all of Remsen; two sisters, Mrs. John Roberts, North Wales and Mrs. Margaret Thomas, Utica and two brothers, Evan Humphreys, Wales and Joseph Humphreys, New Castle, Virginia.
