MR. RICHARD EDWARD JONES. SYRACUSE, ONONDAGA COUNTY, NEW YORK.

Richard E. Jones, 84, of 143 W. Matson Avenue, a self-employed master stone cutter, died January 28th in Syracuse hospital.

He was born in Dolwyddelan, Wales.

Mr. Jones, who carved the steps of the Capitol Building in Albany, owned and operated the former Jones Cut Stone Company and Jones Quarry in Syracuse.

He leaves a daughter, Mrs. Aletha Dillon. Syracuse, and a brother, Peter, Cooperstown. His wife, the former Dorothy Parry, died in 1968.

The funeral will be at 2 tomorrow from the Butler Funeral Home, Syracuse, with burial in Onondaga Valley Cemetery.
