DAVID J. WILLIAMS. CLINTON, ONEIDA COUNTY, NEW YORK.

David J. Williams, 56, a former printer for Clinton Courier, Inc., and the Utica Observer Dispatch and an active Mason, died January 28th at his home, 2 Sunset Drive, Clinton, after a long illness.

He was born in Caernarvon, North Wales, son of John O. and Jennie Williams Williams. He came to this country at an early age, settling in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Later he moved to Utica and graduated from Utica Free Academy.

Mr. Williams married Derfla Ireland in Utica in 1937. They came to Clinton soon afterward. He was a member of Amicable Lodge, FandAM; Yahnandahsis Bodies, Scottish Rites and Ziyara Shrine, of which he was a former member of the board of directors.

He was also a member of the Utica Local, International Typographical Union.

Besides his wife he leaves a daughter, Mrs. Patrick Hart, Watertown, Massechusetts; two sons, Alfred J., Ramsey. N. J., and Kirk D., Clinton, and a brother, Robert O., Whitesboro.

The funeral will be today at the convenience of the family from the Surridge and Roberts Memorial Home with burial in Crown Hill Memorial Park.
