Mrs. William L. Jones, 71, of 133 Hobart Street, Utica, sister of Richard Jones, Vernon, died Friday in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Utica.The former Lillian Jones who was born November 5th, 1900, in Blaenau Ffestiniog, North Wales, daughter of Evan and Elizabeth Jones.
She came to the United States and to Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, in 1909 and in 1916 she moved to Utica.
In 1923, she married to Mr. William L. Jones in Utica.
Mrs. Jones was a member of the Moriah Presbyterian Church, Utica, and its Willing Workers. Besides her husband and brother, she leaves two daughters, Mrs. John G. (Ellen) Williams, Whitesboro, and Mrs. Donald M. (Carol) Franco, Utica; a son, William E. Jones, Longmount, Colorado; another brother Edward Jones, Utica, and five grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday from the Williams Funeral Home, Utica, with burial in Crown Hill Memorial Park, Kirkland.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Sunday.
