MRS. ANN JONES HUGHES. POULTNEY, RUTLAND COUNTY, VERMONT.

Ann Jones Hughes, 91, died Monday afternoon, May 21st, 1979, at a Rutland Nursing home after a short illness.

Born in Penygroes, North Wales, April 22nd, 1888, the daughter of David W. and Margaret (Griffiths) Jones, Mrs. Hughes came to the United States in 1913 with her husband, Hugh Robert Hughes. Mr. Hughes died in 1953.

She was a member of the Poultney Trinity Episcopal Church and the American Legion Auxilliary.

Survivors include three sons, Gwilym L. Hughes and David Arvon Hughes, both of Poultney and Robert L. Hughes of South Glen Falls, New York; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A fourth son, John D. Hughes died in 1972.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Poultney Trinity Episcopal Church. The Rev. Alexander Stringer, pastor officiated. Burial followed in the family lot at the Poultney cemetery.
