Lily Hughes, 85, died Saturday morning in the Fort Hudson Nursing Home in Fort Edward, New York, after a long illness.Born June 12th, 1899 in Bethesda, North Wales, she was the daughter of William and Mary Elizabeth (Griffith) Hughes.
Her husband, William Roberts Hughes is deceased.
She was a mamber of the Middle Granville Presbyterian Church and a former member of Sylvan Star OES Chapter 122.
Surviving are two sons, W. Raymond Hughes, Ballston Spa, New York and Idris Hughes, West Granville; a daughter Catherine Middleton, Hudson Falls, New York; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a sister, Ella Qua, Saratoga, New York; and nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in the Middle Granville Presbyterian Church with the Rev. James Hutton officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Robert M. King Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m.
