MRS. ALICE MARY EVANS. GRANVILLE, WASHINGTON CO, NEW YORK.
GRANVILLE, NEW YORK. - Alice Mary Evans, 98, died April 24th, 2002, at Indian River Nursing Home.She was born November 29th, 1903, in Bethesda, North Wales, the daughter of Cadwalader and Catherine (Williams) Evans.
She was a member of St. David's Society in Poultney, a 50 year member of Sylvan Star Chapter 122, Order of the Eastern Star, and Trinity Episcopal Church.
Survivors include five sons, G. Roger Evans and John Evans Jr., both of Granville, Donald Evans of Gansevoort, Walter Evans of Hudson Falls and Robert Evans of Fort Edward; 21 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, John Evans Sr., a daughter, Darlene Evans; a brother, Griffith Evans; three sisters, Elizabeth Main, Blodwen Evans and Catherine Evans; and a step grandaughter.
The funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church with the Rev. Williams Johnstone officiating. Burial will be in Mettowee Valley Cemetery in Granville.
Friends may call today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Robert M. King Funeral Home in Granville.
